Our Story
THE TASTE OF ROTTNEST ISLAND
Enjoying a beer at Rotto is so ridiculously easy, but making a beer which celebrates the island we all love...that's a tasty challenge.
For GBBC a good beer has a personality, a place, and a story.
Ingredients for the perfect brews to celebrate the taste of Rottnest Island.
OUR FAVOURITE SANCTUARY
Four Perth mates - Nick, Jeremy, Cam, and Jayden - drew their inspiration from the decades of enjoying the Class A Reserve.
Catching herring, snorkelling Parker Point, waves at Strickos, bike rides to the West End, a quick dip at Windmills, pulling cray pots, snorkelling Parker Point, and enjoying jam doughnuts and epic sunsets. Inspiration for the perfect brews.
MAKING WAVES IN GEORDIE BAY
These traditions passed down to us from our families that we now pass on to our own, are the moments and memories we treasure, now available for you to enjoy even when you're not at Rotto.
Or for the ultimate experience: sit back and relax in one of the islands 63 beaches, with the west coast sun setting on another best day of your life, and crack open a cold Geordie Bay beer of your choice.
THE GEORDIE BAY VISION
The GBBC vision is to operate an environmentally and culturally sustainable venue on the rock to enjoy the beers on the Island as intended (In accordance with the Rottnest Island Masterplan and 5-year management plan).
Our Island venue will be supported by a brewery and venue on the mainland where we can make our tasty beers with people and planet first principles - minimising the environmental impact of brewing by incorporating practices of the certified B Corp breweries from around the world, with the intent of achieving such certification as early as possible.
We aim to build local a local community of collaborators, friends and partnerships so we can best showcase our favourite A-Class Reserve and history, and to help protect it for generations to come.
